Al Ameen, Dubai Police offer help to orphans ‎
An initiative to take care of orphans was given a boost after Dubai Police and Al Ameen ‎Service pledged their support‎

They donated money and offered scholarships to the "It's just the beginning'", a charity ‎initiative launched by the Alumni Council of the Dubai Women's College at the Higher ‎Colleges of Technology. The charity initiative aims at supporting 100 orphans who are ‎studying in secondary schools in Dubai. ‎
 
Maj. Gen. Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Human Resources, said that social ‎responsibility are an integral part of Dubai Police and is in compliance with the vision of His ‎Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister ‎and Ruler of Dubai.‎
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed urged all institutions and government bodies in Dubai to ‎support community-based initiatives that are targeting the most vulnerable groups of young ‎people and adolescents, orphans and people with special needs. ‎
 
Maj. Gen. Al Mansouri made the comments during the opening ceremony of the initiative ‎launched by under the heading "corporate social responsibility". The event was held in ‎collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, in the presence of Mr. Hussein al-Sheikh, ‎Assistant Undersecretary for care sector Social Ministry of Social Affairs, and nearly a ‎hundred orphans, who are studying in different secondary schools in Dubai.‎
